Jim's Weekend Café Friday - Sunday January 27-29 2023

So, as the café seems to have been shut for quite a bit thought would open the drapes, shutters and windows to let in some fresh air. I've got coffees, teas and hot chocolate for one and all...




I did discover some fruitcake in the fridge...hoping have some takers...


But we clearly need additional munchies & decorations of course...so will leave that for the more creative ones out there So don't hesitate to jump in with suggestions...given the weekend....could be a great potluck....

As for a theme.... not very creative I realize...but feel free to just drop in and say hello and share your plans for the weekend as Friday is weekend's eve.

As for me -- we're going over to dinner to our neighbor's for her homemade lasagna tomorrow night (Yum!) Then probably just work in garden trying to straighten our nearly horizontal cypress trees after all the winds we've had (we're not a handy pair so this could be entertaining) and swim before the next set of rains (we need it so can't complain).

Wishing all the very best and also will take any and all with tagging too...and keeping the café bustling over the weekend

As for me -- we're going over to dinner to our neighbor's for her homemade lasagna tomorrow night (Yum!) Then probably just work in garden trying to straighten our nearly horizontal cypress trees after all the winds we've had (we're not a handy pair so this could be entertaining) and swim before the next set of rains (we need it so can't complain).

Thanks for the tag @Kiwi2016, swimming sounds lovely. Is it warm there? Are you swimming outside? I can't wait for the warmer weather, fed up with our cold and dark winter.

I've just got back from a quick trip to IKEA. I only went in for a couple of picture frames but somehow ended up with an overflowing trolley of things I didn't know I needed until I saw them. But I shall have a lovely weekend arranging all of it at home.

I'm printing out lots of pictures and inspirational or fun quotes and am going to frame them all and have a whole wall of them to make me smile when I look at them.

Trying to keep busy this weekend to take my mind off of the fact that I'm starting a new job next week and I'm absolutely terrified

Yes we moved into this 55+ community just before covid took off so finally starting to slowly meet people

Oh I soooo miss going to IKEA...always came back with more...and I'm a weird one perhaps but loved eating lunch there too.

Yes am lucky is about 60 today and pool heated to 85 so was lovely!

Having spent most of the week sick and getting a relapse today I intend to stay home and clean as I didn't cope well with being sick (Who does). On the other hand I probably transferred the illness to my boss yesterday when we met for a review (it was a good one so I shouldn't have given the illness but you know sharing is caring). My friend want me to go out snowshoeing with her this weekend but I'm afraid of getting more sickly than I am currently.

I'll be back this weekend! I tend to comment and read the Cafe a lot on low key weekends when it is open.

First hope that you are feeling a bit better...and so lovely of you to share---lol...and congrats on the good review Hot toddies could help with snowshoeing (?) But seriously sounds like you should stay indoors with hot toddies.

Not much plans for the weekend but I do tend to take things day by day and nothing important has come up...yet As for munchies I have pork rinds and ice cream as favorites. Both me and the cat plan on being silly and lazy.
