The new season of the Premier League is starting. This will be my first full season as a fan. For people who haven't read and don't feel like clicking the link to the thread I made here, I am a fan of Tottenham for various reasons. Spurs have their first game Sunday against Newcastle. Might watch it. Not sure. I know some people are upset that they didn't really make any big acquisitions (at least that's what I think they're saying. I am inexperienced as a soccer fan and don't always know what people are talking about!) but some people are still convinced that Spurs can be a dominant force this season. I liked the local supporters club on Facebook-- I know they meet at a pub not far from my house to watch the games, even though it's often pretty early in the morning for us here in the States. They just posted a Facebook event for the watch party for Sunday. I am hesitant to go because I get nervous about meeting new people and going places I've never been. I was thinking of asking my friend who's also a fan if he'd done anything with the club before and how it was. But he doesn't drink alcohol at all so I'm guessing he doesn't go to the pub ever (although my sister doesn't drink either and has gone to bars elsewhere with her friends and just had soda instead of beer...) I think I'll just have to decide whether or not to go without his input. Even if I don't wanna go for whatever reason, I could watch at home. Or I could go to church instead. I could maybe catch the first half because it starts at 8:30 and I have to leave for church about 9:30 because of how infrequently the buses run on Sundays. But I'm trying not to force myself to have to go all the time like my parents did when I was younger. But anyway, whatever I do then is gonna be my Sunday.

Not sure about Saturday.

I hope you enjoy the game my friend, even if in part.

Thank you Miss @Innocent Forever for the invite as always.

I'm still partially grieving over the loss and accidental damage of my old PC. But I've gotten accustomed to Windows 10 in only three days, although there's still a few things I don't like about it. I don't have anything to do on the weekend (nor anyone to do them with). So I'm just gonna laze on the couch and watch TV.

(Note: The black guy on the couch is NOT me. I mean, I AM black, but I'm just not the black dude on the couch.)

I had a very productive first half of the day. But then it got so boring. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow so Imight just get some sleep now. My stomach is bothering me and I'm lonely. But nothing I can't handle.

Well no real plans for weekend...apply for two jobs today, clean the house, and spend Sunday with great mother in law....wish could be that lion lounging in the tree or ignore the dust bunnies..thought could use some options to maybe put on future to do list for a weekend....just enjoying the peace and quiet up in the skies....

@JacsMom LOL!!! Thank you for so much for saying that, Jacs, that made me laugh and gave me a much needed smile this morning. One day I'll try to drop by the chat, I've done it before but I was usually so afraid to actually talk for some reason. Must be the old chatroom jitters kicking in! (And although I WISH that was me on the couch, I can confirm that is not me on the couch).

So in equation: I'm a black guy who is on a couch who wishes he was a black guy on a couch but is confirmed not to be the black guy on a couch who is confused if he is actually the black guy on a couch but really isn't the black guy on a couch but IS a black guy on a couch.

...... You know, after saying that, I think I just made made my own brain explode.

Plans are to be like this gorgeous lion today, and then hopefully meeting a friend for lunch Sunday. I hope it all goes according to plan.

@baywasp you should definitely try and watch the game. Especially as Arsenal have already played and won their first match!

People that need to pop into the cafe are @Sadmum92 @itdoesntmatter_truly @Rebreb @Ash600 @Harmony2 @sedamDanaLjeta @Struggling along
Thanks for the invite, thought I'd bring some "friends" in with me as well
