*walks into the amusement park area and finds out that its nothing but an empty, foggy vacant lot, with few remnants of refuse lying on the ground everywhere*

Hey, everyone, sorry I'm late! I got caught up in a 624 car pileup back on the freeway here, and... *looks around and sees there's no one in sight*

DAMN! I'm really sorry I missed the party, and everyone's gone now! Why's the only black guy on this entire forum always gotta be late?! X_X

*a strange shadowy figure appears from out of nowhere, as it turns out to Twisty the Clown*

Twisty: *nods* Hey.

Emerald: Uh, hello. >_>

Twisty: What do you like?

Emerald: ..... Um... I like girls. And pineapple. And turtles... Not necessarily in that order, though.

Twisty: ..... You like clowns?

Emerald: .......... Can't say that I do....

Twisty: *slowly smiles, and takes out <mod edit - method>* How about now?

Emerald: .......... *mutters to self* Let's see, empty lot in the middle of nowhere? Check. Unsuspecting black guy? Check? Evil clown brandishing a <mod edit - method >? Check. Unsuspecting black guy dies first? LOLNOPE. Yeah, I saw this movie before. I'm getting the [CENSORED] out of here.

Twisty: >:-3

Emerald: *runs off at mach 3 speed out of the empty lot* HEEEELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@HumanExMachina LOL!!! Thank you, Human! I meant to respond much earlier since this morning but I didn't get a chance to. Sometimes I prefer to post when I can think of something funny and spur-of-the-moment, because I'd prefer to make ya'll laugh instead of just saying hello and then run. Its funny really because before I posted, I literally couldn't think of what to say, then suddenly, I thought of this at the last possible second. I didn't want the night to go by without posting something here, you know?!

Strange how the deepest depression can bring out the wildest humor in a person...

Oh, I definitely know. The things we say at the last possible second are usually the best.

Strange in a way, yes, and in another, so understandable:)

this is the weekend cafe so I hope it's not too late to share some amusement park foods.
funnel cake!
snow cones

I don't go to many amusement parks because I don't like most rides. I enjoy gentler ones like carousels and Ferris wheels and even have fun on bumper cars, but roller coasters and other more intense rides tend to upset me. I like the food (if overpriced) and have found it to be a wonderful place to watch people, but most of the amusement parks here charge a high price for admittance, so it just wouldn't be worth it for me. If there was a cool park near me that charged by the ride instead, I might have fun hanging out there every once in a while.

As for my weekend... did nothing today really. Was planning on getting something interesting from the Trader Joe's freezer for dinner (maybe eggplant parm...), but when I tried to check out I found out I was almost out of food stamps, so I couldn't get anything. We have plenty of food at home, so it's fine. It's just annoying and embarrassing and I just feel stupid for not having checked first. At least I'd only grabbed two things. A good thing was that I rediscovered Spotify. Dunno why it took me that long. But they had all but three of the bands I looked up, even the insanely obscure and defunct ones. My roommate was gone for a while, so I got in a lot of singing.

I have to figure out something to do Saturday. I really have no idea, but I'm tired of feeling like I'm wasting my life.

Sunday I will probably be back at the pub watching the game. Not sure if it will be more or less crowded than before. Last week was the first game of the season, so I imagine some people made an extra effort to get out for that. But Spurs are playing Chelsea this week, and I guess that's more of a rivalry than Newcastle is. Also, the game is on later. In this time zone it starts around 11 am rather than last week's 8:30 am. Getting there that early was pretty annoying. I want to see a lot of people come out to support Spurs, but I don't want it to be too crowded and just making me feel like I'm in the way... it's a bit of a small space. If I do go, there is no way I will be making any part of church, unlike last week. The Facebook event says it is from 11 am until 2 pm, plus people will probably show up early to socialize and drink. Might have to just order a soda this week myself, just considering where I'm at financially... :/ If I watch the game I probably can't make my writing group at the library either. I haven't gone to that in a few weeks, so I don't know.

Was thinking more about my favorite things at amusement parks and remembered that Disneyland spends more money on fireworks than any other company so thought we could use some fireworks....though haven't been in over 10 years...still a nice memory of taking niece and nephew from Ireland there...

I'm hiding in the park as the thrilling rides scare me. Gosh, who knew that I wasn't the only one afraid???
I will also hide with you in the park because hiding somewhere is my favorite thing to do:)I will bring popcorn and coke with me for us and then we can discuss things such as "what is the meaning of life?" etc:D

@Innocent Forever Awww, don't hide, have some cotton candy! The low-to-the-ground rides are safer, at least. After I ran about a thousand miles away from the killer clown I didn't see the OTHER amusement park that was set up. Anybody want me to win them a stuffed animal at one of those carny stands? I never been to an amusement park in my entire life (real life). Would I take the risk on getting a roller coaster? Probably if someone dared me (or paid me).

P.S. - This will probably be my last post for awhile. I'd explain why... but its kinda hard to explain.
