It's been awhile since have seen anyone here in Jim's cafe...and made arbitrary decision that cafe should be open for a "long weekend"...so thought would open the doors, do a light dusting, and get the coffee, tea, and hot chocolate going. So will be ready for drink orders as others wander in... not that great of a cook (just ask my husband)....so anyone who wants to jump in and fix their favorite dish (breakfast, lunch, dinner, midnight snack- take your pick)...that would be great.

As is raining here and potential (remote though) for snow ... thought singing in the rain ice skating performance seemed appropriate....not sure if this will work but here goes....

So today is National Toast, Banana Bread, Chili and Dog Biscuit Day... know not very imaginative for theme...so anyone and everyone feel free to jump in with better theme :)...but which is your favorite .... and what if any plans do you have for weekend?
So for me --- love peanut butter & honey toast....
Weekend-- hoping doesn't snow (lol)

We've had about 6 inches of snow and a bit of freezing rain so hot chocolate and a cozy blanket fort sounds like where I'd like to be! I'll bring along some treats to share, more pillows, and hugs for anyone who wants them...*grouphug2

I've been very poorly this week with a couple of hospital visits and an emergency scan and biopsies. I'm feeling very prodded, sore and sorry for myself so a blanket fort sounds perfect right now.

I love toast - with butter, jam, marmite, peanut butter... But my favourite is Kaya - it's a coconut jam that my brother sends me from Singapore. It's heavenly.

Sorry that you've been poked & prodded. Hope you are resting a bit now. I've never heard of Kaya (have to look for that) but marmite (.....not too sure about that....lol)

Joining the party because I like the Cafe. I got 2inches of snow and about an inch of ice today and whilst cleaning the car I dreamed of a garage when I get older. Tomorrow the deep freeze and Sunday night more snow.

Weekend's filling up with activities so I won't get to my hobbies this weekend. It's ok - I was starting Christmas gifts and Christmas is a little bit away. I just hate it when it gets busy and I have to be somewhere different at every couple of hours. I shouldn't complain about having to be with friends - some people don't have as many as I.

But I will love to read other peoples' posts in the Cafe.

Some fine posts and I will be wishing the best for those going through times not so good whether with the weather or hospital stays(yikes). Toast for me is as much as I can make it garlic toast made with ciabbatta bread and plenty of garlic. I never have cared much for bananas but chili is always a favorite regardless of what critter it is made from, but I have never tasted dog biscuits...well at least not in the last few years. LOL :)

Ah yes...memories of the joys of cleaning off the car... we got garage after many years when lived up in mtns...admit was heaven. Wow...already starting Christmas gifts---impressed and curious what you make... Have fun with friends :)
