My psychiatrist prescribed these to me, but they don't seem to be working. I want to try some mood stabilizers, or maybe something stronger. I really don't see why they don't give me something more intense, I've tried to kill myself twice already. Should I ask for Prozac?
It takes time for these meds to kick in up to 8 weeks give it time okay If you think you need something stronger after that talk to your doctor :hugtackles::hugtackles:
Yeah, antidepressants take forever to start working, including Prozac. The worst is when they just start to work, because they make you want to kill yourself even more, at least for some people. It did for me.
I've tried Lexapro and Pristiq more than once in the past with no help what so ever,but that was for me it could be different for others.Yes please try to push your Dr to take something else if you aren't happy with what you're taking,after all you're the one who has to take the meds.
