Life is not fair

My scars are healed, doesnt mean the pain is gone

My son and his wife just had my 3rd grandson about three weeks ago, and only half of his brain developed. His name is Jackson, he has been having seizures and is back in the hospital, my son is hysterical, as he was just informed that Jackson is not going to make it, Doctors have done everything they can do. that's all we know right now.

we are just devastated he is just 3 weeks old and they don't think he's going to make it through the week,
he is being transferred to the children's speciality trauma hospital.

Ty all for being here, and sharing in our pain, This was supposed to be a beautiful blessing and yet it's been a complete tragedy, I don't even know if there are words that can describe the grief we are going through,

My son was born with polyarticular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and he beat all odds and grew to be a proud young man, at first my son had said that Dr.'s thought that Jackson might make it to his 2nd birthday, but he hasn't responded well to any of the anti seizure meds and had to be returned to the hospital, for 24/hr trauma care. i'm in a downward spiral that just keeps getting bigger and bigger...

Is there any news @shattered dreams?
Sending ((((hugs))))
Well, the Dr.'s at the children's hosp. don't agree with the original diagnoses from the community hosp.
they seem to think that although the right side of Jackson's brain did not develop, that he can still make it, they have switched all of his meds around and they will have to wait until between 6-8 months and then they will do a surgery to remove part of the right side of the brain, they say there will still be the damage already done, and can not say what his level of function will be.

they said it could go one of two ways, either he will have some function or he may not be able to function much at all, right now there are still more questions than there are answers. it's unclear how long he will have to stay in the hosp.
