So you can see my other post about how I got it, and I haven't been retested to confirm, but I'm pretty sure I'm HIV positive and I don't know how living with this will change my life. To make matters worse we have this coronavirus going around now which could pose a threat to my life. Some general advice on daily stuff to help me cope physically and psychologically would be ap

You have a whole lifetime still ahead of you even if you do have it. All you might have to take is a single pill and that's it.

Well one of the things I tell myself is that perhaps they'll find a cure in my life time, which I guess is plausible. I just wish I didn't have to deal with this, but it was all my fault

You know how my husband ended up getting it? A dirty needle. He was doing drugs with someone he thought was his friend. He knew the guy for quite a few years. And he asked him whether the needles he had were new and clean, and he said yes. Well, he lied. And he apparently had HIV. So my husband got it from him. And he had no recognizable sysmptoms for a few years. Then he got tested several years later after we were already together, and he comes home, crying, saying he has it. He thought it would make me wantbto leave him, but I didn't. And I've never gotten it from him as of yet. And yes, a cure is possible in your lifetime. But even if not, trust me, you'll be okay. My husband's been living with HIV for about 10 years now, and he's still undetectable.

Have zinc daily and obviously take vitamin supplements too. You will probably live a long time--just boost your immune system w/ zinc. Moreover, avoid big crowds.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you engage in such risky activity to begin with?
