There is really no reason for further arguing here. We are free to disagree with things here. MANY people think that THC is detrimental to mental health and might contrubute to depression. And MANY people also think that TCM is bogus at best and harmful at worst.
If something works for you then great; continuing to mess with that is profitable. If it doesn't work then try something new. But let's stop with the arguing about it. Thanks.

@Walker, I'm not agreeing with this. LWH has made some bogus criticisms that I think I could and should reply to.

Is this an official admin order, or are you just expressing an opinion?

Many people think the earth is flat. This doesn't mean that all opinions have equal merit. The way to resolve differences of opinion is with debate.

Imho, there is a point to further arguing in so far as threads like this might inform people's choices about treatment methods.

Okay, Matt. Thanks. I was thinking about this last night and it's just not a useful argument as you're right about both. I can certainly see how heavy THC use could lead to dependency. On the other hand, my husband has smoked mj for 30 years and has never smoked more than half a joint But as always YMMV and some people just seem to latch onto certain substances - whether it's psychological or biological.

Benzodiazepines are highly addictive yet doctors prescribe them all the time. I personally took .5mg/day (sometimes two) for years, and now I take one every few weeks. Yet my husband's doctor (who wrote him a medical exemption for marijuana without a problem) absolutely refused to write him a script for clonazepam.

As I've said, proceed with caution. For me it has done what a boatload of antidepressant drugs could not.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Lady. :) I'm glad you found something that works for you so well!

My boyfriend and I like to drink this chai latte in a place where you can add some CBD oil to it. He says it relaxes him. I don't feel anything apart from the extreme enjoyment of drinking great coffee, but I've never been one to feel such effects easily. ^^

I've been on the same combination of antidepressants for years and it works very well for me though. All my friends have recently been experiencing depressive tendencies, so I'm glad to hear about any other options, as I don't believe antidepressants (or any other method) is the best solution for everyone.

As a Belgian one could expect I'd be very well-versed about CBD/THC and such, but I'm really not, lol.

I hate weed: it always used to make me incredibly anxious and paranoid. But what you are saying about this spray certainly sounds very promising. I'm glad that you have found something to provide relief from your suffering. 🤗
At last, a fellow weed hater. Just the smell of it makes me feel ill. One puff and I start thinking it's not weed but something laced with toxic chemicals to cause me grievous harm and I start hearing my father tell me they want to do terrible things to me and have tricked me. How people find it relaxing I'll never know. I've also tried edibles, ate a hash cookie once and I was literally out of it for 2 days. So I'm not in much danger of becoming addicted to weed!! Someone gave me some and it's still in a canister in the cupboard, it was there all the way through lockdown, must have been there for years. I just hate how it makes my mind feel.

I felt pretty similar until I had tried it a dozen times and started to get the "high." Before that I just felt like I couldn't follow my train of thoughts, which was unpleasant. Actually I really hated beer until I'd tried it a dozen times.

@Auri have your friends tried cognitive therapy? I did therapy long before meds and it helped me a lot.

As someone who has self medicated with weed for a long time I agree that’s it’s not necessarily the best solution but for short term is amazing. Unfortunately like any drug your tolerances will rise to the point where all you are is high, it kinda becomes your personality. Make sure to take breaks to allow your body to recoup! I’m glad that it’s helping though 🙂

There is definitely a potential for abuse, and negative outcomes. There is also a far far greater risk with plenty of prescription meds.

I’ve personally known six people who’ve died from prescription drug abuse/overdoses. My wife, her mother, my cousin, and three childhood friends. I have been addicted to prescription drugs.

I don’t know of a single documented case of death by THC overdose. When the risks are so much milder than other commonly prescribed medications, the controversy over it seems really overblown.

I think that’s the trick to healthy responsible use. When your tolerance increases (and it will), take a few weeks/months off rather than increasing the dose.

No problems at all so far. I'm using it 3-4 nights a week, for a total of 4mg per day.

As I think I mentioned, my husband has been using marijuana for years.

You're right about pharmaceuticals Gonz. My friend had mania triggered by a doctor-prescribed antidepressant.

Your story is a testament to the potential benefits of cannabis for some individuals struggling with depression. It's interesting how a low dose of THC can have such a positive impact on your mood without the intoxicating effects. It's crucial for individuals in legal areas or those with medical exemptions to explore these options and consult with healthcare professionals.

I've been thinking about this today as I've been battling a tough fight today...mentally. all day.. dark thoughts and ideas.. for an escape route. Just in case. you know how it goes...

it is very legal here. There is a dispensary across the street from me. I've wanted to go..
I'm just scared because there's so many forms and different things. And doses. Its overwheming. And I want to try for peace of mind not fun. I just want to be okay again.

So that I can stay on this earth.. today is very bad.

But I don't know where to start. It's very overwhelming.. I want to try though.. it's been legal for 4 years now here..
