Miss my brother so much

#1
The anniversary of my brothers passing has been especially hard. My father passed in 1995. My mother in 2006. My mother was not in good health so when my father died, I raised my brother. We were very close. He was diagnosed with diabetes at an early age and at 35 he left me due to complications of the disease. Now I am empty

Sorry to hear this Cattech

It's hard enough to lose even one close family member, I can't imagine what it would be like to lose three.

Do you have any surviving family members or others that can give you support?

Are you getting therapy or any other form of treatment?

Thank you for your kind words. No more family. It is really causing me so much grief everyday because I was so close to him it is affecting my work I miss a lot of work because I am so distraught. My passion was always golf. I used to play in tournaments all the time now I haven't picked up a club in over a year I want him back so much

I guess because you raised him, in a way it's like also losing a son

I really hope you can get therapy. Getting on medication, at least until you no longer feel suicidal sounds like a good idea

I have tried medication nothing has helped
The links in my signature have some more information about treatment options you might want to look at.

There are other people who are going through the similar feeling of loss. There might be support groups for people who have lost family members. You might also be able to PM some people here who have gone through the same thing or similar. I'm thinking of a member here who lost her mom and two sisters in an accident, maybe you could send a message to her.

Hi there
I'm sorry to hear about your brother. Sibling deaths are a unique one, just as losing a child is unique or losing a parent is.
My wife is in the stages of grief in losing her brother (6 months ago now) and I've seen firsthand how it's been for her so I've only got that to understand it by but she's made me see it in a way I wouldn't have otherwise.
I'm sorry for your pain and hope you can find some peace.
