Yes. So many of my "friends" from school utterly failed the first test, and when they failed the second at our friends funeral... well, more than 1 person left my circle of friends at that funeral.

1) Own up and accept judgement
2) Take the time and/or expense to fix it or get it fixed under your own initiative
3) Pretend you were never there.

For me number 1 and 2 would go together and how I would do things. Get things out in the open, fix them and be done with them.
