Hello SF family, sorry for the lack of Cafe's lately. I've not been at my best.

Today I thought we'd talk about cosmetics, you know "make up".

Do you wear make up? If so, every day, or special occasions?
What kinds of make up do you wear if you do?
and since Angie is looking for a better mascara, what is your favorite brand?

I do wear make up. Although mostly only when going out to appointments.

I wear a foundation by Olay, a powder by Coty (mercy, I'm old fashioned), a blusher by Two Faced and I just bought a new mascara by Clinique (hoping for the best).

Also use a brow pencil and eye shadows, both are no names, got them from an Ipsy subscription.

I wear a Dior foundation, in a fairly light shade.
I then apply a pink blusher, which is Clarins.
A good quality Dior pink lipstick, then the most sparkly (still tasteful) pink lip-gloss, on top.
For a special occasion, a dior mascara, in brown, with a brush attached, to spread-out each lash. My lashes are very long, anyway, so it's nice and natural.

Cool cafe, thanks for posting it Angie. Sorry you haven’t been at your best, hope things will improve soon. I’ve been sick with the flu for the last week so not been at my best either.

1. I very rarely wear make up. I guess you could say “special occasions”, sure.
2. When I do rarely wear make up, I wear Cover Girl powder, blush (don’t remember brand and never cared much about it lol), whatever brand of eye shadow (golden-brown and then a darker one along edges), great lash mascara by Maybelline and Milani peony lipstick. It’s all very understated, don’t like for it to be “obvious” that I’m wearing it :p

No sorries @Angie I hope you're feeling better soon. Late winter/early spring is always physically weird for me.

Most days I wear no makeup at all. Just sunscreen when going to be outside for any length of time, a light makeup foundation with 50 sunscreen from colourscience. It somehow customises itself; it changes from light to a darker tone as you smooth it over your skin. For when I want a powder, I use Gabriel. And since I'm thinking of all this, even though it is scent not makeup, Light Blue from Dolce & Gabana.

Angie you might try a 'tubing' mascara called blinc.

I don't wear makeup, just nail polish. I have fun finding all sorts of different colors to try. I've got a shiny pink one on right now from Sally Hansen Miracle Gel called "Rare Red Pearl"

Yes, I've worn makeup just about every day since I was 12. I guess I just like wearing it. I wear foundation, concealer, powder, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara. It sounds like a lot but it's mostly my eyes that are made up the most.

Not often and not entirely willingly, but my younger niece, Claire who is now 41, has two little munchkins in elementary school and it amazes them that I will let them make me up. Been told I am quite fetching all dolled up. LOL I just say this must be payback for when me and my brother took Claire and her sister out snipe hunting. They admitted they were not scared because they figured two big galoots were out there watching over them seeing they were safe. We also introduced both of them to camping out which they loved and like me they admit it is more fun in Spring and Fall where it is not too hot or cold as you get older.

I've never bothered with makeup because I just stick a bucket over my head. For special occasions though, I might give it a coat of paint (gloss) just to look that extra bit dashing
