My Cousin Died Today

I'm not terribly close with my extended family, but I'm very sad at the passing of my cousin who died today after battling cancer for the past 18 months. We are the same age and grew up together but as I entered college she took a different path and lost touch with most of our family. A few years ago she reconnected with one of my aunts and we learned she had had a difficult life, and for a time was even homeless. But when I saw her again two years ago she was married, had a job she enjoyed and a home, and seemed to be happy. I'm very sad that she has died so young and suffered so much. It makes me pause and realize how blessed I am in comparison. I'm not really looking to discuss this, I just wanted to say good bye to her and wish her peace.
