My Mom listed Suicide Hotline options

#1
My mom has been thinking about me even when we're apart. It's the world to me.

She has this time used that to call Suicide Hotline and talk to hiem about me. She came back and listed some possibilities. I'm scared of them. They all involve talking to someone and possibly being judged. In fact, the last one she listed is the possibility of a judge issuing a mental health warrant. I'm scared of all the options already, I don't want to also be dragged away by cops.

My mom likely doesn't mean these as threats. She has engaged me with compassion and listening. However, an impulsive part of me feels threatened. I am in a sooth-ish state now, but such will only last so long, and I don't know what I'll do next time I'm distraught.

Options are good as long as you're not feeling coerced.

I hope you can tell your mom, very clearly, that you do not intend to kill yourself, and you dl not want any warrant put in place. It's important to communicate; let her know that this would make things worse. Best to you @I_waste_everything

Ditto what @seabird said. There are certain criteria that have to be met before a professional can have you confined in a psych ward. In most states, you have to have a plan and intent. It's a state-by-state thing, but most states will have those requirements. The exact conditions depend on where you live, so it might not hurt to look that up for your locale.

Who are you concerned about judging you? Do you think that talking to someone might help, as long as you felt safe disclosing the pain you are going through?
