My mom....

My mom passed away on the 9th. I am sinking so low and can't pull out of it. I know it was for the best as she was suffering and didn't want to continue living in the condition she was but nothing is helping with the pain I'm feeling. Everything feels surreal and disconnected, all I have been doing is sleeping and crying, I have no idea how I am even going to make it in to work next week.

She was loved by so many, and she was my everything. People tell me I'm stronger than I think. I feel just the opposite, I was already struggling and now I really can't see any light at the end of the tunnel and I'm so scared things will just get worse. So much is running through my mind as I type ...I can't even think straight. People deal with this all the time but I just can't cope with losing her far too soon.

I know what you must be going through. My mom is suffering and she won't be around much longer. Whenever the phone rings or I get an email I brace myself for the worst news ever. Hold on. Think of the things she would say to console you and make you feel better. She's still saying them in your heart, she'll always be there, in your heart. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I lost my mom too soon as well. I guess there never really is a good time. Mine was suffering horribly from cancer. She smoked. It killed her. The cancer moved to her brain and she could neither speak or move. She could only gurgle. It was horrible. That was many years ago. I did recover from the loss. I think of her every day. I miss her every day. But I also honor her memory every day. You will recover. It just takes time. And you can show your respect and love for her by going on. She will always be alive in your heart!

Hi there, she wouldn't want you to feel like this, think of what she would want for you. And you are stronger than you think, you reached out here to us...that is a sign that you are stronger. I will keep you in my thoughts. I know grief is hard to deal with but seriously consider seeing a therapist, they might have some ideas that would be helpful to you. Bless x

@SillyOldBear I'm so sorry to hear of the horrible way in which you lost your mom. Thanks for the reassurance it will get better with time, I needed to hear that right now.

@Petal thank you as always for your support, I plan to see my therapist next week and hope she can help me deal with the grief and sorrow I feel. I will keep reminding myself of what my mom would want for me and somehow pull strength from it.

@walkerbait95 Just letting me know I have support and understanding during this difficult time is more than I could ask for. The flowers are beautiful and a very kind gesture. I appreciate your response more than you will ever know.

Hi Harm: I was so sorry to hear of your news. I lost my mom a few years ago too. It's just so hard to lose a parent. How do you say goodbye to the person who gave birth to you, taught you about life and loved you more than she loved herself? A pretty impossible task. But she will live on in your heart and your memories and some day you will smile again when you think of her. It's way too soon now, but she'd want that for you, Harm. As a mom myself, I know if something happened to me, I'd want Ryan to go on and find happiness. I'd want him to think of all the fun things we did together, when he was little boy and now that he's an adult, too. You will grieve in your own time and space, and that's normal. Don't let anyone tell you there should be a time frame. I'm here whenever you need a shoulder. So glad I know you. You're a lovely lady, Ms. Harmony. Sending you all the hugs you can handle.

@JacsMom your words made me cry, but in a good way. What you said deeply resonates with me as you always understand exactly how I'm feeling. I am so happy to know you and consider you one of the most beautiful people in this world. I do think I'm pushing myself a bit too hard to just "get over it and on with life" and it is next to impossible; it just doesn't work that way. She did love me more than herself and taught me unconditional love and I am so thankful to have had that even though it makes losing her that much more difficult. I will forever hold on to that in my heart. Thanks for always being there for me. Love you gf.
