Never going to feel the touch of another

It really feels like I'm going to die alone, unloved and a complete loser. I don't have a car, I have a dead-end job and zero friends. Fuck I can hardly make it through a day without breaking down crying for hours on end. Who would want to put up with me in a relationship? I can't get any respect at work either. I'm always put on rookie level tasks even though I have 6 years of experience. I'm always the first person to get sent to other stores just because I'm considered expendable. I can't get anyone to even talk to me because of my severe autism. And the ONLY reason I'm not dead right now is because I'm a non-believer. If I believed in an afterlife I would have gone there years ago. I just wish I could finally have someone nearby who could touch me. Make me feel something instead of a constant void everywhere I go. Or maybe I make myself feel something. Across for attention longways for results.

It is unfortunate that you have these feelings.

From my own experience, I believe that I stayed in such a dark place for so long that I didn’t know how to socialize healthily.

There are places that welcomes us without judging our shortcomings. Hopefully you will find that environment and can develop meaningful connections that blossom into healthy friendships.

I firmly believe that when we can’t find connections within our own culture then venturing outside of familiarity can be rewarding.

Developing an interest in art (exhibits) , books (book clubs), dance classes, painting etc. Going to events that people gather and socialize. You may find yourself in intriguing conversations and exchange contact info.

I wish you the best in resolving your lack of relationships.

I've tried that. Karaoke. Trivia nights. Game nights. Painting. Hell I even started volunteering as an umpire for all the high school and junior high and travel baseball teams here. I never get anywhere. It's been 6 years of constantly trying new things and always hitting a wall. Nobody cares. I've been living at my current apartment for 3 years and NEVER had anyone over. Not one. I might as well be invisible.

I once met a woman I really liked who wanted me to play the piano for her. My piano playing wasn't very good so I said I'd need to practice. 20 years later my playing is still rubbish and I'll never see her again, but at least I enjoy playing the piano.

(And yeah I'm also going to die alone, unloved and a complete loser but there's nothing I can do about that, at least with the piano I can practice more)

The thing that hurts more is that I have maybe one or two actual friends but I don't think they know just how difficult it is for me to just start talking to people. Like i said I'm severely autistic so I can't just talk to anyone. And when these people invite me to like a bar or a live band there's nothing for me to use to start talking to anyone. Number one it's way too loud and number two I can't see anything we have in common beyond the alcohol. At least during a board game night I know why they're there and I know there's something for me to start a conversation with but that died out with COVID. This is why I keep wanting to cut myself. Because there's zero interesting things about me to talk about and because there are zero people who are interested in understanding how they might help me.

brainstorming here -

sporting events, bible study/church, kayaking/ canoeing 🛶 , CrossFit , fishing 🎣, dog parks (if you have a dog 🐕) bass pro shop, shooting range , support groups

Trying to name places where strangers typically spark conversations with one another. Maybe connecting and building friendships and then that friend introduce you to someone

I knew someone who met someone online in another country and ended up moving there and marrying despite language barriers. So don’t give up hope. That doesn’t mean that you have to settle either.
