non prescription meds

    Anyone know any non-prescription anti depressants?

    st johns wort is a popular one i believe. but i don't know how well it works and as with all things there are contraindications if you have certain medical conditions or are on other medications i think

    yea i spoke with my Dr about that one and i couldnt go on it cos i was on another med. Thanks, i may have to ask him again, Thanks for the quick reply. :)

    When you come back to Ireland you'll need a prescription for st.johns wort. Its not available otc here anymore.

    Yes..

    A couple of years ago St. John's Wort was withdrawn from sale in Ireland without a prescription. According to the Medicines Board, this was due to adverse reactions if St. John's Wort is combined with other medical drugs.

    yea you cant use st johns wort if you are on the contraception pill as it decreases the effects. Id rather be depressed and not pregnant than get unwantedly pregnant and become even more depressed.
