ok..so i've been seeing the same therapist for almost two years now and every year at christmas he has time off.. this time it is for 5 weeks, 3 weeks have passed already and i'm not dealing with it well. normally i would see him twice a week so i am fairly dependant on that pattern.
i've been feeling very anxious and the sleeping pills i've been on haven't been working (though i'm not taking them for insomnia they don't help sleep anyway)... i'm getting very upset as i have no one to talk to and i don't really know what to do... how do i get through it?

It is hard when therapist take a long break during Xmas/ny. I have had trouble to especially when we have been seeing them regularly and then there is no to talk to during the break. Sometimes writing has helped me, imagine what you would say to your therapist if they were there. Or maybe, call Lifeline they can be good to talk to, it is not the same as your therapist but can help. Please take care.
