Ideas & Opinions Over 70 years old

Since I'm over 70 years old, I felt I should introduce this thread. Others over 70 are Barbara and LeKatt. In fact, LeKatt is in her 80s, if I'm not mistaken. Correct me if I'm wrong.
While the drawback of this age range is usually about health issues, I will say thankfully that my age makes it easier in the housing area. In the younger years, it is much more difficult and often agonizing to find a decent roof over one's head. But in my state and city there is the Senior housing which makes housing affordable for the elderly. So let me say that my age range makes me much more lucky in the matter of housing. And especially because I used to be homeless at one point.
Those in their 70s are called septuagenarians. So how are all you other septuagenarians doing?

I am 88 years old only 4 months from being 89. Yes there are senior housing where I live and other helps for older people. I was lucky enough to buy my house at a earlier age and housing has not been a problem. Health problems have been managed. I have a pacemaker and I am without any pain for now. I have been fortunate and grateful for it. I have a good mental attitude on life and try to help others.

My most significant issues are health and finances. I am getting by financially, but no more than that. My health is failing. That is largely my fault because of horrible eating habits throughout my life. They do catch up with you. A bright spot of being old is that I have less time left to deal with this world and all its baggage. I will welcome death as it will leave these issues behind and I will go to my real home with God. The fact that dying is usually painful, however, is a serious drawback to that. I am 74 yeas old.
