Physical pain severity scale

Saturday - 7-8
Today - 8-9
Broke down in tears and rang the doctor's office to see if any doctor would prescribe strong pain meds. Most said flat out "no" and to wait for my regular GP who works Mon-Fri.
Ummm, I can't sit, stand, walk, lay down without extreme agony... the f?
One doctor agreed to see me and prescribed a few different pain meds to see which worked best. Went home, took a few and fell asleep.
I'm sitting on a 3-4 atm
Why do 90% of doctor's think everyone is a flippin' junkie? Bless Dr. Russo for treating me like a real human being in legitimate pain

8 right now due to a bad heartburn. Havent had that in years. The entire weekend. Was terrible. Ended up going to the docs prikosec and something else to try for the next few days

@DrownedFishOnFire Sorry you are suffering so. Persistent heartburn is really rough. Have you tried one of the slopping pillows. I have one. Got it from Amazon. It elevates your upper body so you are less likely to get heartburn.

it does help with heartburn to sleep upright but uncomfortable. can your doctor do anything? mike

Since its a first espiode in a decade.... have to try prilosec for the next 2 weeks along with prescription medication started with su... not have it right now on me. If it still continues will get an appointment with the gastroenterologist

Honestly, based on the descriptions, these days i would say a pretty consistent 7, especially this last month or so, with occasional spikes to 8 or 9, which is one of the main reasons i've been so quiet these days, because trying to concentrate on talking on this site just seems to make it worse during those times, unbearably so.

i'm sorry it's so high cynic is there any way to lower your pain level? for me coming on SF has the opposite effect, my mind is occupied so I don't notice the pain as much. I hope you feel better soon. mike
