People who try to control you in the name of protection.

2 instances that made me write this.

1) One of my classmates ' supposed father always pick up the phone ( house number ) and whenever I ask him to give the phone to her , he makes excuses. It never hit me until today , my so called mom said something similar about it yesterday and I know she meant it out of jealousy. ( She was always jealous of me developing relationships other than so called family. And now especially because I am so obviously not close with so called family )

But , her observation was correct. He , does make up excuses. Damn it , and he probably never tells her that I called either. Like , ???!?!?!

2) One of my classmates has shared just one number to everyone at school ( that of her father ) because her father probably forced / force her to do so. I talked with him before and he refused to share the home number or any other phone number. He would also exclude her from get togethers and would pick her up early from events , she would go to.

Seriously so freaking disgusting. Big yuck and angry asmr for all people similar.

Life sucks! I don't want to deal with it anymore.

Am on limited income and EVERYTHING is getting more expensive:
More taxes
Gasoline prices
Natural gas and electricity
Garbage p/u
Water/sewer
Phone
Food
Insurance
Medical expenses
Computer/Internet/TV
Postage rates
How in the hell is a person supposed to meet all these costs?

My health sucks and only gets worse. I am 74 and totally falling apart. This life just needs to end!

Hello,

  • I'm forced to work in a job with toxic management who does not respect people as human beings.
  • I feel threatened and think about quitting often, but feel trapped to stay in the job because I need income.
  • I need income to continue living away from my difficult father, because I made the decision last year I really couldn't live with him anymore. I felt like I was dying on the inside.
  • As an autistic woman, I am limited to what kinds of jobs I can apply for, and the ones I have sent applications to never get back to me. I feel disheartened and somewhat hopeless, because I don't know if and when I will find something better. And in the meantime, I get to be intimidated and insulted in my current job every time I go in.
  • We have ants in the apartment
  • My mother really doesn't understand how to give emotional support and while I understand she means well, I am also very lonely because I have no other support. I do pay for a counsellor and even though it is leeching into my savings, I will try to keep the sessions for now and just hope that it will work out financially if I find more stability later on.
  • My current job environment is too triggering for my autism but I am not allowed accommodations, or go get some water if it is close to my shift finishing (" Do you really think you need water when you finish in ten minutes? What else do you think you could be doing to make yourself useful?" )
  • I don't have a boyfriend
  • I don't have good, local friends I can talk to or meet for chats over coffee
  • I live paycheck to paycheck

English's inconsistent, maddening orthography, and the orientation of literary resources, namely keyboards, toward that absurd mess.

It makes so much hesitation, so many mistakes, opens up so much arbitrary prescriptivism and bullying, and forces so much cognitive dissonance between what we speak/hear vs. what we write/read, that I think it collectively adds up to make the English-speaking world a worse culture.
