I have used batteries that were "best by" over 10 years ago. And they work fine, until they don't. But they've got to be lithium and made in Switzerland -- or else you might as well chuck them. In the battery recycle bin, that is.

Sometimes I get a piece of music stuck in my head and it drives me crazy trying to figure out what it is. It always turns out to be from some old video game or 90s cartoon. This time it was part of the Rescue Rangers theme song.

I saw those tiny food ants in a fancy, clean home on the 32nd floor of a building in Sydney. It's kind of mind boggling. I wonder how soon Mother Nature would take over if (when) humans disappear.

My random thoughts keep returning to the demanding feeling or pull that I'm needing to be at the ocean.

I used to spend my time at recess playing with Roly Poly (Pill bug). I don't know why I never took time to learn more about them because I love learning about nature, but I did recently and found they are related to shrimp and lobster and not actually a bug. I always thought they were cool and fun, and now learning more about them, they are fascinating.
