I tallied up the value of all the medications I have on hand; the pills weren’t worth much, but I have a few months supply of injectables in my fridge. Between two kinds of inuslin, which costs $750-$1,000 per pen, and Tremfya, which is over $15,000 per dose, I have about $150,000 worth of medication on hand.
Then again, if you calculated the value based on how much it cost the drug companies to make it, rather than what they charge the insurance companies for it, then it’s less than $100 bucks worth.
So glad they’re jacking up the prices like that, and no one’s trying to stop them, on things I literally need to not die.
