This morning, shortly after getting out of bed, my right arm suddenly went numb and stayed numb for about two hours. This is very similar to what happened last year when I had my first TIA, which also involved numbness in my right arm.
I didn't call an ambulance or go to the hospital this time. I feel completely fine now, but this could have been another TIA or possibly a silent stroke.
I really don't want to go to the hospital if it's not necessary, so I'm looking for some honest feedback. Am I taking a stupid and potentially dangerous risk by staying home, given my history (I've had 3 TIAs)? Should I go to the ED even though the symptoms have completely resolved? I'm not sure why I'm hesitating. Perhaps I am just sick of hospitals. Perhaps it's an act of self-harm. I'm not really sure.
Just putting this out there.
