i gave a load of money to someone i love.

it doesnt excuse my behavior towards them but i hope the little bit of money meant something to them (probably not though)

one time I ran up an escalator to catch/support an elderly man that had fainted and nearly fell down if it wasn't for his wife barely hanging on to him.

There was literally nobody else around at the time.. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time... I cant imagine what would have if I had not decided to go up to that department store second floor.
