She's very much not okay with me being me.
I feel like I'm stuck between - this really could help, and will it harm me too. Because she is so not okay with me being me - which, in my opinion, comes because it is a behaviour based approach.

I’ve been doing SCM for about just over a year now. Feel free to ask me anything about it if you like :)

I wouldn't know where to start!!!!!!! I thought it's only a year long?

How is it? How much like therapy is it? Does it replace therapy? Does it help you heal the behind or is it just learning skills? Do you like the person you're working with?

I think that's enough to start! Only answer what you're comfortable to.

I’m just doing 1 on 1 sessions at the moment. Looking to start group early September. If you Google Emotional Regulation Therapy it mentions SCM so I think we will be doing very similar therapies.
I googled it but didn't see that. Good luck! Hope it helps for us all.

First group was mostly irrelevant - the content was keeping our own boundaries, which is something I've worked on for years. There were buts that were relevant, where lack of boundaries comes from sense of self. (They didn't say that. I am).
Anyways. I did it! Lotsa panicking before and shaking after. So much bodily tension through it. And. I did it. I didn't speak at all, which was okay - there were 8 people there and I think 4 spoke and 4 didn't. Next Thursday feels a bit too near now...
