I like a good self help book. Ideally nothing with too much in the way of long scientific passages since I just won't get through it - any recommendations? In particular anything relating to:
  • Making friends/forming social relationships
  • Making good/healthy life choices
  • Getting the life/future that you want

Looking for inspiration :D

Here are a few I want to read that come highly rated:

I Thought It Was Just Me (but it isn't): Making the Journey from "What Will People Think?" to "I Am Enough" by Brene Brown

Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by Brene Brown

The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are by Brene Brown

* Brene Brown studies shame and has had several popular talks on shame.
