Hello! I found the keys under the door mat, came in and dusted since it's been a while for a Cafe. Come in and have your favorite beverage. I'm having water?!?! Currently at any rate.



It's Labor Day weekend in the US but I had to take the day off from work, and I get tomorrow off so I have a 5 day weekend! Time for yard work, woodwork, a family gathering and a day off to do nothing. I won't be alone all the time.

I have no questions to ask - maybe someone could offer some or a topic. Let's get the cafe alive.

Thank you so much for opening!!!! So good to see the doors open and lights on! I'm drinking leftover coffee but lots of caramel cream so rather tasty....

Going to a friends for pool party & pulled pork on Saturday. Admit am glad to see temps wont be in triple digits... hope for fall (?) Otherwise quiet weekend.

For all who've been in path of hurricane/storm...sending you all positive thoughts!

Thank you for the tag/invite. I'm still not quite sure what the purpose of these cafe threads are or what I'm supposed to do/how to join in. So in fact that probably mirrors my real life experience when I meet real people in real cafes 😆

I'll have some coffee, potato chips and cake for now (my diet needs work!!)

I drink almost exclusively water now. I think that's probably good for me, but it's also not very exciting.

For the purposes of the cafe, I claim to be having a mango smoothy right now.

The cafe threads are great for a bit of levity, lightness and can be very refreshing with the hustle, bustle and serious sides of the world and life. Just some cut loose and get a bit of whimsy.

I drink far more water than anything and like many diabetics do drink deep and then piss like a race horse. LOL

I admit my favorite tasting drinks are Coke, but with the above diabetes they are fewer than when younger and I love milk, but milk does need to be whole milk for my preferences.

I've got friends coming round for dinner tonight. I haven't seen them for ages so I can't wait. Although I really do need to get off my arse and do some housework before they arrive!

My daughter is home for the weekend so it'll be lovely to spend some time with her. And I need to start packing for my holiday next week - so far I only have lists.

Just laughing at this IQ test I did online. After a couple of questions I got fed up and just guessed everything. At the end it said enter credit card number to get score. I HATE that kind of thing! Of course I didn't enter any info, but I used one of my disposable email addresses and now keep getting emails to say I am extremely smart, higher than most people who do the test - am I sure I don't want to enter my card number to find out just how clever I am?! I bet I got about 3 out of 40

Almost fell for a scam today. I haven't applied for a job in over a year now - but just the other day started a new application. On the portal my application is still in pending (I reckon it will fail anyway!). But imagine my surprise when I got a WhatsApp message claiming to be from a recruitment consultant, saying my application had been passed to them. I googled it, and 1000s of people have had this exact message (you'd think scammers would at least try different names etc!) and it's a scam, just a weird coincidence for me which almost made me fall for it at first!

Anyway here's a nice picture of some cake! If anyone fancies a slice!!!

Nice to have the cafe open. Far easier to feel comfortable here than in a rl crowded room. Nice to have a place where I can sit without judging my own inadequacies as a social person.
So, a latte as a special treat and a rockie road slice, just because…….
