Yay! I love these kind of topics!

  • Is it better to be respected or liked? What about feared or liked?
I think it is better to be respected.
  • Have we become less happy in this age of technology?
Yes.
  • Is having a big ego a negative trait of positive trait?
If the person has a certain level of maturity and awareness, a big ego can be a positive trait. If not, would that person be a narcissist?
  • Does life require a purpose and a goal?
Ugh. I guess.
  • Is it easier to love or to be loved?
It is easier to love.
  • Do acts of kindness have a motive?
Yes. You either want to make someone else feel good, make yourself feel good, or both.
  • Are people in this current generation less or more sensitive than people from past generations?
Neither. I do think people in this current generation have been given more permission and ways to feel and express their emotions.
  • Why do we strive for perfection if it is not attainable?
Good question. Maybe it is because we see people who have a facade of perfection so we think it is attainable.

I used to think that because acts of kindness weren't selfless, that made all people selfish. However, I've changed my mind on that thanks to a chat with Witty's boyfriend about a year ago. He said that it doesn't make them neither selfish or selfless. It just was what it was and there was no point giving it any kind of label. The logic made sense to me and I actually changed a long-term belief of mine because of it. So @Witty_Sarcasm you can say thank you to him for me.

Okay, so I heard some of you have missed my philosophical questions, so they're back!

However, that's not the only topic today. You can choose between answering the questions or telling us about an interesting or funny dream you've had in the past. Your choice.

  • Is it better to be respected or liked? What about feared or liked?
  • i’d say liked. i think an ounce of respect comes with the liking and a miligram of fear comes also. so liked.

  • Have we become less happy in this age of technology?
  • i know i have become less happy becausse the people who run the technology are ruining everything because they are only smart in the area of technology and not in humanity and compassion. SF people excluded.

  • Is having a big ego a negative trait of positive trait?9% positive and 76% negative but neither has a cancelling effect on the other.

  • Does life require a purpose and a goal?both are helpful but not required.

  • Is it easier to love or to be loved?i think they are both equally dificult to the extreme.

  • Do acts of kindness have a motive?yes.

  • Are people in this current generation less or more sensitive than people from past generations?its a mix and it probably varies from generation to generation. but people are not less sensitive. they are just having trouble directing it because its hard to direct sensitivity on a phone or email.

  • Why do we strive for perfection if it is not attainable?only because it is something to do.

Is it better to be respected or liked? What about feared or liked?

Being respected is far better than being liked!

Hmmm... It is better to be liked by a few people that I care about but feared by the rest of the humans in existence. This is kinda tough for me.

Have we become less happy in this age of technology?
Nope.

Is having a big ego a negative trait of positive trait?
It can be both, it depends on different circumstances. In most cases, it could be a positive trait.

Does life require a purpose and a goal?
No, it doesn't "require" a purpose or goal, according to me.

Is it easier to love or to be loved?
To love is far easier than to be loved for most people.

Do acts of kindness have a motive?
Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no.

Are people in this current generation less or more sensitive than people from past generations?
More sensitive, but it's not a bad thing IMO.

Why do we strive for perfection if it is not attainable?
Who said it's not attainable?
People strive for perfection to reach it or get as close to it as they can.

Haiiii! Keep doing this ha, I really love it too :D

1) Is it better to be respected or liked? What about feared or liked?
It's better to be respected than being like, everybody deserves respect but only if that person treats the way he/she wanted.

2) Have we become less happy in this age of technology?
If I still see ya'll using the internet then definitely everyone is happy. Haha!

3) Is having a big ego a negative trait of positive trait?
It can be a positive trait if that person doesn't really brag about it.

4) Does life require a purpose and a goal?
Yes, otherwise we'd be listless and complaining we're unworthy when life in fact does take a lot of effort to put in.
But I believe, purpose isn't necessary. Purpose takes time, we can do and enjoy the little things in life.

5) Is it easier to love or to be loved?
It's easier to love. I learned to love before being loved.

6) Do acts of kindness have a motive?
Nope. I just disrespect people if their kindness isn't sincere.

7) Are people in this current generation less or more sensitive than people from past generations?
To me, less sensitive, I've been seeing how greatly humanity has restored. In my country, people has been helping one another these days.
Example, on the day after new years eve in 2018, was 6am and I'm already in the train back home from cousin's house...
One of the lady in the train got drunk and puked in a plastic bag where her husband gave. But whats more impressive is that
strangers offered her water to drink and one of them helped to rub her back. Wow... I mean.. strangers...

8) Why do we strive for perfection if it is not attainable?
Because... we're worried about what other people think. Haha!

Speaking of dream..
I've been having nightmares... :( I kept dreaming about me not being discharged in the hospital. I'm probably afraid of the upcoming surgery I have to attend to or I've been spending wayy too much time at the hospital.

Wasn't tagged but that's ok I'm terrible at remembering to tag ppl when I reply here so w/e. Anyway these questions are cool & interesting & I don't have near enough people to talk to about such things in my wonderful life so I'm so replying to these even if not a single person on this planet gives a damn or ever misses me or any kinds of things like that.
  • Is it better to be respected or liked? What about feared or liked?
Respected/feared I guess, but damn I do unfortunately care about being liked as well but am also trying as hard as I can to NOT care anymore cos wow what a waste of bloody energy and also most ppl are such clueless morons anyway.

  • Have we become less happy in this age of technology?
Don't know that it's a "we" thing at all it depends on the person and what their life experience has been. I don't think the less in person contact with people is ultimately a very good thing for us though I will say that.

  • Is having a big ego a negative trait of positive trait?
Negative, it clouds people's judgement and makes them arrogant and not as considerate of other people. Humbleness is MUCH better and more positive imo.

  • Does life require a purpose and a goal?
No, people make WAY too big of a deal over that, totally an idiotic ego thing imo. I don't know if I "have a purpose" or not and as for goals, always been quite lousy w/ those as well and while my life is def not "perfect" I think all things considered that it is really not very bad at all overall. :)

  • Is it easier to love or to be loved?
To love, definitely. We only have control over what we do after all.

  • Do acts of kindness have a motive?
Yes but some motives are much purer than others. In any case whether they do or don't doesn't really matter that much in the end cos the more of them that are done the better the world is imo.

  • Are people in this current generation less or more sensitive than people from past generations?
    - Impossible to answer imo & also each generation has a mix of each of those kinds of people.

  • Why do we strive for perfection if it is not attainable?
Lots of reasons I think but some of the main ones that I think are:
    - It's natural to always want to improve things and make them better
    - Because of our imaginations being able to project ideas of how things could possibly be in the future and our attachment to the idea of perfection which stems from fear of failing at something which leads to potential disapproval or other negative feedback from others and also our minds resist non-perfection cos it's frustrating and can be hard to accept when things don't work out the way we want them to.
    - The idea that maybe we could reach "perfection" someday is also a bit of a comfort to our minds, even if we know on a rational level how unrealistic it is. Maybe it is to protect the mind enough so that it will keep having the will and motivation to dream and to strive to do things better.
Very thought provoking question, fun to think about though :)

I'm very late to this but wanted to give my thoughts.

It's better to have self worth, it's all that matters . Others opinions don't really matter as we are all on our own journeys.
Yes, technology is mostly negative with only some advantages. Wifi 5G is especially going to be very bad. And robot police.
Negative to be full of oneself, there's a difference in confidence vs arrogance.
I do think we're here to learn.
Easier to love.
Sometimes
More sensitive, this has been done on purpose, they are really creating a world of narcissists who take offence at things they need not, taking offence is a CHOICE. They have also created people who exclude by being 'inclusive', it is a disaster.
To feel powerful, in believing we are not. The reality is we are very powerful beings but we have not tapped into even a fraction of our potential.
