A TA emailed me to tell me that this Friday is my last chance to make up any missing PA quizzes or complete my lab 5.

This shows me that I'm not just another number at university.

That's a big deal! TA's can have a ton of work, it would be easy not to reach out to a particular student. Your needs were noticed, I hope that helped you feel more like you matter.
