I think he liked/respected NIrvana a lot, I don't believe he loved either Soundgarden or Pearl Jam (wonder how he liked being next to them w/CD's in the stores?)... but I haven't heard him comment on A.I.C.

Well, I remember reading somewhere that Nirvana were supposed to headline Lollapalooza '94 had Kurt lived (I think), so Smashing Pumpkins were the headline band

I know. So sad that we will never get to hear new Nirvana material! I think current music would be so different, that if Nirvana/Kurt stayed in the mainstream. I also like to think that since Kurt was sick of fame, he would go indie or even more underground, probably making obscure music.
