Songs.... Good for depression & bad for depression....

  1. Here are two that come to mind....


    Bad - Dont fear the reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. The lyrics are just so awesome.

    Good - Laura's story. Religious connotations - so if that bothers you then do not bother. But I really like it and she sings with such emotion....

    No song cheers me up like Bad Moon Rising does. A jolly uplifting song about the apocalypse, exactly my kind of thing :)

    I find certain genres of music can be good and bad for depression, not just particular songs. Anything pop, despite what the lyrics are saying, makes me happy. Dance/trance can go either way for me depending on my mood/current situation.

    Things like Timbaland's "Apologize" and One Republic's "Stop and Stare" are things I call "Mood Songs" because they make me feel emotional and I have to be in a good mood to be able to handle them.

    Things like Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" and Bonnie Tyler's "I Need a Hero" always get me feeling better.
