Earlier this year my blood tests showed I had really low level of testosterone (my levels were similar to people in their 50s and 60s and I am 29) so I went to an online TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) clinic to get medication to fix it. I spent around $800, which includes the testosterone gel for 4 months as well as doctors consultatiions.
The common symptoms of low testosterone that I had, and still suffer from include fatigue, irritability, low mood, brain fog, depression, anxiety, low motivation etc
After 4 months it did not work at all, even after doubling the dosage.
I then did some research and found that gels are not as effective as injections, and that my testosterone levels only increased slightly, no where near the goal amount for most TRT treatment. I went from 11 nmol/L to just 12.9 nmol/L, when treatment is supposed to aim for 25-30 nmol/ and worse of all i felt no improvement in symptoms
I then decided to go to another clinic that does injections, which was a hassle because they required more recent blood tests and consultations. This time it costed $530 which will cover at least 3-4 months as well as many consultations with the doctor. I have just paid and should receive everything in about 2 weeks then I can begin treatment
I need as much prayers and support that this treatment will work. Not only has it costed a lot of money, it was so tiring and exhausting contacting all these GPs, online clinics, endocrinologists, getting blood tests, researching online to finally get treatment. Testosterone injections seems to be my only last hope, as I have tried nearly everything else in the past, such as countless medication, therapists, exercise, nutrition, praying, etc.
Thanks for reading. Have a good day
