What makes a death more important or re portable than another?

Whilst I am respectful that we currently have a virus going around the world and we have had them for centuries, suicide goes under the radar.

The media only appear interested when it is a celeb or someone who killed a few people first?

Some statistics show that a person dies by suicide every 40 seconds and that is too many.

Let's get to that point where properly funded treatment and support is there for people and that the number starts to reduce.

I send love to those that struggle every day with suicidal ideation or thoughts.

Some initial thoughts 💭 and in great haste, af that!! Because it isn’t, “sexy,” as a sensationalized headline. It tends to put people in a bad mood. It is controversial, just in general, and as a topic. If it’s a famous person, then that is obviously different, because we think or regard them in a higher standard or better light (in short, we care more about them than the average joe. Which, by itself, John or Jane doe died last night by x,y,z is likely to be instantly forgotten about before the last bite of cereal or drop of coffee consumed (probably way before then ~~).

Also, as is evidenced by here, as just one example of reference - it isn’t an easily “solvable,” problem. . . (Sadly; unfortunately, etc.)
