So I started dialysis back on July 4th. Today I got a call and I have to start the taper off my anti rejection meds. It makes it even more real and I am just heart broken. I still cant believe this is happening again. What did I do? I feel like such a failure.

I don't see it as a punishment or something, it's just that some people have illnesses to deal with

I feel like such a failure

Whether or not a kidney transplant is successful or not seems to mostly be something that is beyond your control. I don't think there's any reason to see this as a reflection on yourself.
