Mothers Day last year was the last Mothers Day, and I knew it would be. My mom was in the hospital, and it was the last day she was coherent. She was 90. She knew she was going to die soon and so did I. She told me she loved me and to do the things that make me happy. I asked the nurse to take our picture. I'm thankful for the last 10 years when I was really close to her as a person, a friend. And I'm thankful we got to say goodbye, I know that everyone does not get that chance. Today I am thanking her for for being my mom, and telling her that I miss her.
