Hello SF family! I hope this finds you as well as can be! I have some medical stuff going on, it is quite frustrating!

Here you go for today:

If you could live in any fictional world, which would it be?

I would live in Narnia, the fictional world of C.S. Lewis

Lord of the Rings I would be a a rider of Rohirrim, though I would not lie if I got my letter to Hogwarts, or even Narnia, during the Dawn Treader era, I do not like the earlier books, I would not say no. I also kind of fell in love with Alagaësia and a few other words but the problem is in fantasy worlds is most everyone is trying to kill you, so it hard to choice *sweat

Literally any one that isn't this one at this point. Though every fiction novel, game or movie I think of has its own evils.

Not that I'm overly knowledgeable in this topic, but I guess maybe the DND universe is probably the best with regards to being who you want to be, and the amount of books I could binge read and learn all the magics from, ha.

Thanks for the tag and posting a cafe for today Angie.

This world is currently an extremely stressful, upsetting and disappointing place for me to be in many ways, I think I’d pick the Shire from LOTR too :) Just seems like such a peaceful place, and that’s definitely the kind of place I wish I could escape to forever right now. I really hope I will have a fairly high degree of peace someday, somehow.

Lol aw, that’s so sweet, thank you! :) Ya, let’s meet up in the most peaceful, stress-free place ever, the Shire, have some drinks and enjoy our worry-free life :) That’d be really awesome for sure.
It sure would be lovely wouldn't it
If you could just press a button and escape this world for a while 😊
For now i have to settle with just rewatching Fellowship of the Rings 😌

Yup, it sure would. Sounds good with rewatching Fellowship, I recently rewatched all 3 LOTR movies, they really are epic, love them so much :)

Hmmm, interesting question.
I'd probably say the one from the Good Place. By the end of the show, not the start. It's a show that's sort of like the antithesis of something like say, Rick & Morty. There's a guaranteed afterlife, with a heaven, and everyone has goodness inside of them somewhere, so the door to heaven is never closed to them.

It's really just a question of how long they have to spend in the afterlife being tested before they prove themselves worthy. Everyone has at least some kernel of goodness, so everyone eventually gets there. Even the demons are really just nice people down at their very core, they're just used to doing evil things because they never really questioned it before.

I dunno, something about the idea of a world all about finding the decency in everyone, and where everything ultimately leads down a path towards everyone just being decent to each other, sounds so refreshing these days. I wanna live in a world where we can all just treat each other with decency, kindness, and respect. And i want a system in place that pushes us to pursue the decency in our hearts, instead of lapsing deeper into division and cynicism.

Who knows, none of us have seen the afterlife, and just maybe, we're already living in that reality, we just haven't seen behind the curtain yet. I find that thought very comforting somehow.

I loved the Narnia books as a kid. I was excited about the first movie, and I think all the actors/actresses were great. I didn’t like the rendering of Aslan; I felt he looked like a golden retriever, not something that could eat a person as an appetizer.

Oooh live in another world...

I think Narnia seems a bit too chilly - though talking animals is cool.

The problem with all the worlds that appeal to me is that the cool thing about them is magic. Am I going to just be a muggle? Assuming that I would just be sad magicless me in another world, can I just scoot forward in time to the 24th century and join the crew of The Enterprise? I could really get on board with a replicator.
