Unable to get support

#1
I lost someone who was very special to me a few months ago. For various reasons, I don't feel able to talk to my current therapist about it, so I contacted a Bereavement Support organisation, and even though I was prepared to put the existing counselling on hold, they said they couldn't work with me until after 3 months had passed since finishing the counselling. So I'm now in a position where I can't talk to current T and can't get external support either, even though they would be dealing with different issues.
Ironically, I volunteer for (another) bereavement organisation and can't get support with them either for the same reason...
How crap is that!?

That's awful. I don't know what the rational is for that.
Thanks for replying, I appreciate it.
Potentially, but maybe only if I lie about currently being in therapy.

I think most counsellors have a rule about clients not working with more than one person at the same time. I understand it could lead to conflicting messages to the client, but I'd hoped as it was topic specific, an exception could be made.

You're welcome!

Idk, it seems like there ought to be some provision for the fact that a client may just not "click" with a certain therapist.

There are books about grief, maybe that could get you through the waiting period to see a new therapist.
