It’s the same way for me in northern Michigan, I prefer to get my own food versus buying it. You gotta have the right tools to make that happen.
My old fashioned and liking old style things. I prefer lever action rifles, Wild West Cowboy style. Marlin and Winchester lever rifles in a variety of old calibers. .35 Remington and .45-70 caliber, both are great for both deer and hog.

I went to a local bar and had a bacon cheeseburger and fries, the burger was cooked perfectly medium.
I might have had a beer with it, which I know I’m trying to quit drinking, but I gave myself a little treat because it’s been a shitty week.
I've never eaten any meat less than well done. I think it's the redness that bugs me. Maybe I should just close my eyes and eat it. *rofl

I’ve always wanted to come down to Texas and do some hog hunting, would love to have a freezer full along with my venison and fish. Nice selection of hunting tools!

Sounds like a mix of Japanese and Mexican @Baywasp 🤷‍♀️ how does it taste?
No Mexican flavors although I would totally try that combination. It was just a sushi roll that wasn’t cut up into pieces pretty much. Had salmon, cucumber, avocado, crispy onions, and yum yum sauce. Pretty good but sometimes the seaweed is hard to bite through.

The fun for me tomorrow is supper with a woman I have known for a long time. She is a mix of Mexican on her mother's side and Cajun on her dads and with a temper at times to match. She has invited me for supper and other (fun). With her ethnic mix it can be interesting, ettouffe or jambalaya with Mexican rice instead of plain, always fun to see how she mixes the two cultures and vittles, and yes I do say vittles in real life. LOL
