I’m kind of tangentially interested in topiary. I’ve never done it, but I’ve heard that after you prune a hedge or brush, it gets more dense the next time it grows out. Do this for long enough and the hedge is yours to sculpt, bounded only by your imagination (well, that and your skill with those huge pruning shears).
Don't know that that would work with a hedge. Have had this one for about 30 years and it remains just a hedge. No fancy sculpting.

I had a somewhat tender moment with a horse yesterday. He was displaying certain body language that suggested he was not in the mood to be pushed around, but the horse handlers there don’t exactly consult the horse on how the horses feel.

So I later hung out near his stall and when he came to investigate, I put my hand on the edge of the horizontal bars at his nose level. He sniffed at me for a bit, and I felt calmer. I hope he did, too. BTW he seemed to approve of me, lol.
Ow, thats great, communicate with animals is always fantastic

I've noticed that with dogs and cats, if you become still and let them come to you, they will love you forever, lol. This holds with canines even if they are normally averse to strangers. Not sure about cats because I think cats don't care whether someone is a stranger or not, but rather are concerned with whether a human is a source of food or not, lol.

Therapy session with the boyfriend. A threesome, lol. It was great. He's great, she's great I'm great. Isn't that great:D
This is a good sign, and I'm glad to hear you are feeling better (or at least better-ish?). If you are both willing to work on the relationship, it's got a good chance of survival, IMHO.

I was double checking my calendar for upcoming volunteer shifts that I've signed up for. Along the way I got curious about how much I've been doing over time and so I looked over the schedule for the past, too. I smiled when I could recognize certain "firsts" that I had accomplished along the way in a given date.
