why can't i die now?

seeing others these past days, they have things and reasons and loves to live for.
I have nothing to live for.
can I die soon by just wanting to be dead soon? I believe so.
not much. or anything really, left to.
I am old and so ready and wanting to die. NOTHING to live for. no one cares, really.
it hurts to get up day after sorrowful day with nothing and no one.
soon
soon, I believe, will be soon gone .

Welcome to the forum @onceiwas. Sorry that you feel like there's nothing to live for. Ive felt like that much through my 40's. I came across SF by searching for methods. My only peace could be achieved by death. Time did help me heal and being here gave me support.

I hope that you can find some peace here and have better days ahead. Life can be very challenging but please dont give up. We care about you here. *console

I think in principle you could find something worth living for. Maybe that would take some kind of treatment. Maybe it would be finding some friends and community. Maybe you could have dog that you loved so much you'd want to stick around. Idk, but maybe SF could help somehow.
