Empathy and Advice Welcomed Why should I continue to live if I'm objectively inferior?

#1
As I mentioned in a previous thread, my intelligence is probably substantially below average. Not only that, but I'm also an autistic subhuman who is incapable of connecting with other human beings in the most basic of ways. There's absolutely no reason why I should still be alive. I don't deserve to be loved or supported. I'm so disgusted with myself that I don't want to give myself food or pleasure of any kind.

Your writing reveals you have better than average intelligence. I used to think I was below average and not able to complete with others in school. Then a kind and wonderful teacher showed me how just to be myself. Say and write what I felt and not care about the grammar or what other people thought of me. I became myself and I loved it. I also found out my intelligence was not low at all. I took a test in the Navy and qualified for the highest role aboard ship. I went from nothing to being satisfied with myself.

My advice is just do it. Write, talk, live who you are right now , and quit thinking about who is, and who is not. Just be yourself. Love

These insults you render yourself are likely inaccurate. The very fact you've put your feelings and fears into words, and are worried about this, is a drop in the bucket of your brightness, though like many bright minds, you are likely tormented; you're aware of more, question more, and a society that neglects to provide answers filled with the dumb and hostile leaves you with pain.

I would like to know how I could help talk you into beholding yourself and your own wit with new light. All I can do, though, is report that you're better than you think, and ask that you aim to be kind to yourself. And/or at least grant yourself mercies here and there, if you don't already.

The title of the thread is this dangerous question: "Why should I continue to live if I'm objectively inferior?"

Where this question originates is the human society's group think error of judging others, using an arbritrary and malicious yardstick. Society often uses questinable, less than objective criteria to assess people and situations.

You are valuable and worthy of living and pleasure.

Alright, but what should I do to improve at socializing and maintaining relationships?
Listen and listen some more before you comment on a subject. Ask questions when you are not sure of what is being said. Smile to show you are friendly and open. Don't jump to conclusions on any subject, let the conversation unfold gradually. Don't be offended if someone doesn't agree with you. We all he different beliefs. Never try to convince someone you are right. Just pass it on and forgive and forget. Everone is different, that is what makes life interesting. Learn all you can, even on subjects you don't like.

Oh yes, it really helps to do daily affirmations. You can find a link to them below. Some great affirmations have been posted on this forum also. The ones I posted by Britney I think are the best. Love

Look at it not as an objective inferior, but as an objective unique feature that almost no one else has. And enjoy it :)

Just wanted to add: While there are many people who suffer from depression, sadness, and feel lonely, left out. Only a small percentage of them are ready for change. Most will say they want their lives to change, but they are not ready. The old sayings are very true.

"When the student is ready the teacher will appear."
