Hi guys.

What are the top five things you cherish in your life?
  • Science - science has given us so much: longer lives, better quality of life, entertainment etc.
  • Having fun with my friends
  • Relaxation
  • Contentment
  • Comedy - shows like Curb your Enthusiasm or South Park can always make me feel better.
At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
All I know is I hope I won't look back and describe this time as when I felt the most passionate or alive.

What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail?
Start a technology company. Hopefully innovating something, helping to improve technology and people's lives (not to mention making a nice bit of cash ;)).

What do you most connect with? Why?
Computer Science. This may sound strange or sad but I seem to connect with computer science; I've always had a more logical mind (being better at subjects like math than subjects like art) and computer science is the one field of study I actually enjoy. I guess it just amazes me what can be accomplished through computer science.

We’re always making choices. Are you choosing for your story or for someone else’s?
Hopefully I will make my choices for myself, however I expect I will make choices to accommodate other people.

Have a great day everyone. :D

What are the top five things you cherish in your life?
  • Girlfriend
  • Best friend
  • My experience on my BA degree
  • My camera
  • My vision
At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
  • Getting engaged with a new photography project that you know will do good and make a difference for the people involved.
What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail?
  • Quitting my salaried job and taking a plunge (again) into relying on commissions for rent. Weirdly, I did it for years with no issues and earned more than I do now, but could not shake that feeling of "what if the jobs don't come in this month", despite over earning previous months. I like consistency in things laid out in black and white - which really does not match my chosen and beloved vocation :D
What do you most connect with? Why?
  • Photography and sociology. It's just always been that thing that's missing but when found, something I just understood without much effort - light, physics, distance etc and settings - no problem. Mixing chems and following strict temperature/containment measures - no probs, love it - but I wasn't into physics or chemistry in school at all. Sociology because of the nature of the subjects I photograph, I don't know if I just get people and know how best to photograph them, or if I just get photography and how to get people to be photographed in a good balance of how I want to do it with how they want to look.
We’re always making choices. Are you choosing for your story or for someone else’s?
  • I used to choose for someone else all the time, put yourself on a back burner so others can be okay - also, need for control and if you know what someone else is going to do at all times, then you're content. I'm better now and put myself first, and literally could not give a shite about what other people are doing most of the time :D
Thanks for the tag and questions x

Hello everyone! *hiya I hope you're all enjoying your day/ evening :)

I'm terrible at answering questions! Don't get me wrong, they're great but I always struggle to answer them :D

I'm going to steal @Road to Nowhere 's answers because I pretty much agree with all of them! Well, I'm not restoring a boat but I'll happily go fishing on it once it's finished! :D
What are the top five things you cherish in your life?

Family, love, life, faith,1960 Glastron boat i'm restoring.

At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?

When I was a teenager everything was new and exciting.

What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail?

Fall in love.

What do you most connect with? Why?

People on SF that I connect and relate with.

Why?

Most everyone here gets it, life's not all sunshine and rainbows and we want a way out. We come together, understand and support each other. Which is more than I can say for most people in real life.

We’re always making choices. Are you choosing for your story or for someone else’s?

My story it's a work in progress and i'm definitely not finished.
Take care everyone. You're all fantastic *stars ox

Hi :)
  • What are the top five things you cherish in your life?
in the current moment:
my mom
my cat
the fact that I overcame health issues that had the potential to be very serious, but I got lucky
i have a roof over my head
i finally found a pair of jeans that fit and look good

The last time - autumn 2012...I had just overcome another health issue, I lost a lot of weight and I liked how I looked, I had great plans for a PhD and new professional development and finally - I had met someone I later fell in love with. But....everything went to ruin just a year later...
  • What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail?
I want to go and live on my own in the capital; i feel I am physically unwell to be completely in my own yet
  • What do you most connect with? Why?
My cat! She kind of keeps me alive; I feel like I need to care for her and can't leave her, that is why I am still alive, I believe
  • We’re always making choices. Are you choosing for your story or for someone else’s?
I don't feel I live the life I should be living, I never have - if this is what the question is about :D

  • What are the top five things you cherish in your life?
My daughter, my sibs, karate or tai chi, good health and most important my faith.
Recently either at karate or being exhausted while reaching the top of a mountain (granted they are baby mountains). I am passionate and alive during exercise or when creating something. But lately the actual creating stuff is a struggle to figure out.

  • What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail? Make a mantle clock for my daughter and her husband.

  • What do you most connect with? Why?
Pictures and visual images; I dunno; music doesn't do it for me ; but a well formed image captures my min d.

  • We’re always making choices. Are you choosing for your story or for someone else’s?
I unfortunately do not have anyone to write my story for so I am choosing my own story.
It would be so fun to take an art class together S! @cymbele . I bet you'd make really great things.

Thanks for opening @BlackOpium :)

I've brought along some morning coffee for everyone.

My favourite memories so far involve my children - holding them for the first time, playing in the garden with them when they were small and cuddling them to sleep as babies.
Seeing the northern lights and an orangutan in the wild were pretty good too.

I'm not sure about SF. I don't think I can pick out any individual things. I remember the sense of relief when I first joined and within days realising that I had found my people, my place. The connections I've made with people here both online and in our meetups. Seeing how everyone is so supportive and caring gives me real hope for the world when it seems like such a bad place.

Good morning SF friends. I answer from my phone so it never comes out pretty as if I would on a computer but the thoughts there.

Thanks for tagging me @BlackOpium

1) not in order necessarily. But nature, art, my children, learning, money (having enough)

2) when I took an art class last Spring I think it was. My brain felt so good searching for objects and challenges.

3)always wanted to run a non profit art program, but now I know how how much work's involved, so. Maybe travel in a camper for a while.

4) connect with quiet activities, organizing things, boring. But I like art history, different cultures around the world and the need to archive them.

  • What are the top five things you cherish in your life? - That'll be: oxygen, water, my own space where I can get away from it all, music, relaxed state of mind.

  • At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? That'll be when I inadvertently electrocuted myself*bleh Serious answer, being away on holiday and viewing sights of nature that were untainted by humankind.

  • What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail? Arm wrestling with myself? I also know that I could walk away from my job at anytime.

  • What do you most connect with? Why? I guess that'll be science and the arts as I feel they are things which can help to develop you as a person.

  • We’re always making choices. Are you choosing for your story or for someone else’s? In the main, for others so as not to cause any unwanted dramas. - I just want a peaceful life as possible.

Thanks for opening @BlackOpium and thanks for the tags @BlackOpium and @Lane...

Wishing all a great Tuesday!

Great questions @BlackOpium....much food for thought as they say...

What are the top five things you cherish in your life?
My family (husband, mother-in-law, father), my friends on SF, my friends IRL, my health despite myself, having a 2nd career which made owning a home possible

At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
To be honest it has been quite awhile---so would have to go back about 15 years when was just starting on a historic house project.

What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail?
I would freely voice my inner thoughts and feelings to those around me and let the chips fall where they may with the confidence that I would still be loved and cared for

What do you most connect with? Why?
I connect with animals I guess as they ask for so little just love.

We’re always making choices. Are you choosing for your story or for someone else’s?
This is something that I continue to struggle with as my nature is to accommodate the needs of others almost exclusively to the point that I seem to have no energy nor time to consider what my story could be e.g. if you ask me what my vision for myself is...just still see a blank page.

Thanks for the tag @Kiwi2016 and @Innocent Forever

What are the top five things you cherish in your life?
The people who love me, my ability to carry out charity work, health, enough money to live on and good food and drink.

At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
With an ex.

What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail?
Going forward with a pressured job I'm in the process of being offered (I hope lol).

What do you most connect with? Why?
Struggle and poverty. Not really sure why, I think it's inbuilt. I did observe some tragedies, when I was younger, but it must have been innate, for it to provoke such a response.

We’re always making choices. Are you choosing for your story or for someone else’s?
I try to decide upon the best fit for both.

You would think I’d have the list of “?’s memorized by now...;^)).”

  • &@jdot @JDot :)
  • What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail? direct a feature-length film 🎞 “you should do it! : ) start with a short. That’s what Sofia did! Of course, she grew up on film sets & her dad directed The Godfather. So there’s that. But big whoop 🙌 (it can be done ✅ ). -Or practice shooting & editing videos & putting them up on YouTube! And most legendary directors I’ve paid attention to in the past all basically said the same thjng: you can’t predict what the audience wants or make it for them, so you’ve just got to be faithful to the material and make your move. Good new s is - it’s never been easier and more a cesible to do do, which is why there’s never been more competition (so it’s watered down), but; you still can get it done - if you really want (no need) to..;) peace~ now where were we? What song expresses your inner effervescence?.?! ;D _why that’s easy: in da club by 50! ( :

Well— I used (in italics) to say, “outside of friends & family,” but now... it would be more accurate to say, “da da dah... family,” probably my guitar, my movie collection (which had dwindled considerably); my trumpet 🎺 if I still had it (though it was silver). . . That s it I guess: unless you count my superlative ability to “think intuitively...” :D

I suppose when in the throes of a great, life-changing type film. Some have compared this to a similar type of “divine intervention,” as happens, or can happen in a Church. . . But there have been moments, where , I have seen a picture & then made up my mind to change my life for the better (this is why I rarely see good films these days; I prefer the gutter! ;))—. Even in mediocre movies, I can be sitting 🪑 in the theater, and what’s happening on the screen - I’m not even necessarily aware of - but I’ll get a moment of clarity and inspiration to do something I hadn’t thought of before , or be forced to think of it, or how to do it, IU a different way (altogether $.). S .
Request the Bicoris Secret Angels 👼 digits (as long as their not with ‘Leo,’) / / or fixing their hair for a selfie 🤳 on I.G. - R they too old for Tij Toj?! I wonders. . . ^they should be free: )

there’s no connection with anybody, anywhere. Not even my router. Is that how you say it? See- I don’t even know... Anyway, I could use one of those talking computer s that Johnny cash has with scar jo in Here?’ By maybe possibly but inn uncertsin🌚⭐️ Spikenlkones (though they or she it would likely reject me!) ;^)).!/-)>•_

I don’t know.” . . I , really- really don’t. (Maybe neither!) it’s up to the ethers; the elves🌚, the keeblers6, the oompah loompshs & the leper’s & the lumars... all over this land !

  • What do you most connect with? Why? My inner world and the characters in it. Because it's mine/all me.
