I'm putting this quote here after reading it in a book about depression and anxiety. It precisely describes one of the ways in which social anxiety affects me, sometimes.

"When I am in a room with People if I ever am free from speculating on creations of my own brain, then not myself goes home to myself: but the identity of every one in the room begins so to press upon me that I am in a very little time annihilated...:"

"My despair was a pit dug by my own failures, not a remediable medical condition.

... I couldn’t believe my problem was extrinsic. I wanted to die because I was an idiot and could never improve, never move forward or do better—not because I was sick and therefore locked in a skewed perception of the world and myself within it."

Feeling like this could be an incredibly lonely and painful experience. I have felt something similar , had a strong experience regarding this very recently. I hope in your own pace you will see and find , in honesty that you're not as alone as you feel , to some extent atleast. And I don't say this to minimise your feelings but to comfort you , to maybe pass down that you're not crazy , even if you struggle with the pain to believe that. Hugs if wanted.

And if this doesn't help. Nevermind , you can take what you want from here or nothing at all. Wish you healing though.
