Anxiety Getting Better, Then Much Worse

So I've been doing pretty well this year. After 3 years of almost no change in my anxiety and depression, I finally found a path that's been working well. I'm at a special health school that caters to people with severe mental health issues, I have a plan of what I want to do after school, and I'm making progress on my CBT. Going amazingly well compared to 3 years of inactivity.

Then I started getting twitches/shaking. Now I normally get twitches when I have anxiety attacks, but now I'm also getting like a constant shaking, like something is almost always moving. Mostly it ends up being my leg shaking but my hands can start shaking too. I also seem to get my proper anxiety twitches a lot more often, and I don't know why they start. My anxiety attacks are always triggered by something but these twitches just come on and the anxiety/freaking out comes too.

These new 'developments' have been really frustrating to deal with. The constant shaking means my legs/hands get sore, the more often anxiety symptoms are really tiring and make it so hard to focus. A couple days ago I was walking to school in the morning but having my twitches, and they took so much effort to focus on that I ended up crossing at a red light, walked all the way into the middle of the road and almost got hit by two cars. Also made me drop my phone and break it which really didn't help.

I have told one of my therapists about it, she is currently seeking advice from professionals as to why it's happening but I don't have any techniques for dealing with it in the meantime. If my boyfriend wasn't there to help, I would have collapsed on the train because the attack was so bad, and I didn't even know why I had it.

Would appreciate any support or advice, thank you very much for reading

Hi @one6seven - are you on medication? maybe the dosage needs adjusting. Could also be some sort of physiological problem rather than mental so getting a full physical checkup should help put your mind at ease. Could also be something lurking in the back of your mind that needs dealing with - your therapist should be able to assist. Sorry about the shaking - I get it too when my anxiety starts getting the better of me. Look after yourself and take care.
