My father committed suicide when I was 21. He was spiralling downwards and my mother was scared that her life was in danger and we were being stalked by him. Looking back, it was a sad situation even though we were relieved.

My grandfather killed himself and sister has attempted a few times. I only have some memory of my Abuelo as a nice older gentleman.
i'm sorry that you lost your father at a youg age, and your grandfather and also that you had a hard time as a child with your fathers actions .mike *console*hug

Thank you, I'm thinking that i may have given too much detail and its triggering to members. I hope not.

This thread has gotten me thinking about prevention and how it should be touched on in schools, to recognize the warning signs among friends. It hurts me when I hear about a young person taking his/her own life, anyone but a youngster because i think of my own children.
I think people who would be triggered would hopefully stay away from this post.

I've lost a few friends to suicide. The most recent was my friend Ed. That one was really hard. He was my only offline person that I knew wasn't going anywhere, until he did. ugh. Okay.

I am so sorry to hear this @Lane *hug
And all the others that lost someone to suicide.

My mother was found death in the canal, after she was three days missing. I was estranged with my family at that time so I heard it all after it happened. My father didn’t call the police for three days. So the police filed a missing persons report.
My father was a suspect for a while and interrogated by the police. An hour was missing in his alibi.

We concluded suicide, because the relationship with my father was bad and she wanted out, she didn’t bring anything when she left after a fight.

So sad.

I hope I am not triggering people with this story, on the other hand, it must go out into the world, I don’t want to sit on this forever

Love to you all who lost someone ❤️
No, I was thinking it's really sad your dad wouldn't have reported her gone sooner, their relationship was that bad at the time. Do you have a relationship with him now?

No, he died a year ago from euthanasia after a sick bed I heard from friends. I couldn’t forgive him for what he did to my mother. I never spoke to him after this happened.

Thank you for asking, that is just so sweet of you ❤️

*hug I'm sorry, family sometimes can be so awful, when they're supposed to be a good part of life.

It must've been so hard to go through this. Thank you for telling us your family story.

Although my friend's death happened many years ago, I still remember it. What still haunts me is that I don't know whether it was suicide or accidental. I cannot reveal here how the friend died because it might be misinterpreted as teaching a method of suicide. So all I can say is that it's hard when you don't know whether it's suicide or accidental.
