Exercise or ?

Hi, I’ve been out of a psyche ward about two months, but found myself going downhill rapidly.
Today I joined a gym/leisure centre and I’m pinning everything on it helping me recover,
although I do have some counselling in CAT starting in February

Sounds like a good plan, like you're taking control of your mental health and not letting it overwhelm you. That's great! I think the counselling will help massively too. I started doing the gym recently (I mostly use the treadmills) and I've found they actually really help, at least with the minor sadness.

Exercise can certainly be something that can help, but there's more than one treatment method to try. I suggest that you keep your exercise moderate. Too much can make things worse. I think it's especially important to keep things light during the winter time.

The links in my signature have some information about treatment methods.

I strongly recommend that you try traditional Chinese dietary therapy, acupuncture, and traditional Chinese herbal medicine. I can say more about these things if you are interested.

The essence of traditional Chinese dietary therapy is to avoid anything cold or raw, and eat freshly cooked whole foods, served warm.

Hi, I hope the centre is an awesome place... I definitely find exercise helps me. Not so much in the long term - as in I can't see it - but short term I see it. When I run I'm actually smiling. I hope you find the classes and exercise that speak to you. All the different things together are helpful.
I hope the counselling is beneficial too and that you can find different things to add to your day that you enjoy doing.
