Just been for an interview, and I feel exhausted! I am so tired all the time, does anyone have any tips for beating the weariness that comes with depression?

Cant think of anything at the moment, but I will keep trying x
You could try even the little things in life, like taking your dogs (which are lovely btw) to the park and have a picnic there?

Do you have any friends or relatives you could go on a day trip with?

Maybe a trip to the cinema and stuff yourself with good old popcorn and candy floss?

Looking forward to something does not mean it has to be something big but enjoy what life is offering you right now even if its hard to see it.

Yes taking the dogs out is amazing, but I was just so tired earlier, and they are a lively pair! No friends (part of my problem is that I have withdrawn from people) and no relatives either except my 90 year old Dad who has alziemhers. Sometimes the weariness is so overwhelming I can barely walk up the stairs to bed.

I know how you feel @GoldieMum, my depression also makes me so tired and just wore out feeling all the time. It’s taken me a long time to figure out that if I stay busy it really helps with my depression. It’s definitely not a cure all but it does help a lot of the time. When my mind is screaming at me to give in to my depression I somehow make myself push through it and find something to keep me occupied. I hope you can find a way to push through your depression too, it’s an awful disease.

Thanks @Sleeper71, I must try that. Ive slept for over 12 hours, and must admit I do feel better today. I am going to make a start on decluttering my house today, I am a bit of a hoarder so I have plenty to do. Ive been reading that getting rid of "stuff" can help clear the mind, so going to have a go.

I’m glad you got some sleep and that you are feeling better today. I hope that you find that keeping busy helps you too. Sending you best wishes @GoldieMum !
