Our works Christmas party is coming up and it's black tie. Really didn't want to pay much for a long dress that I might never wear again so I bought a second hand one on eBay. It's from one of my favourite stores so I knew the quality and fit would be good.
I've got a pale gold silk wrap which I've borrowed from a friend and I bought a little vintage clutch bag from eBay too.
I can't walk in heels so decided to buy a pair of ballet flats but couldn't find any that fitted. So I've ended up buying a pair of black velvet ballet style slippers! They look just like normal ballet shoes with a proper sole but are furry inside (but doesn't show once on). As long as nobody looks at the bottom which have slipper written right across the sole, I'll be fine

That dress looks amazing @Sunspots ! With those comfy shoes/slippers, you'll probably enjoy the evening even more. If you don't dance on the tables you should be alright!

I bought a new skirt today. I saw it a few months ago and fell in love but it was way out of my price range. But I was given a £50 gift voucher as a Christmas bonus from work and low & behold it was in the sale, in my size

It looks much better irl. Being short it comes up longer on me and is really light and floaty. I will need a new top to wear with it, I'm thinking a short boxy jumper, maybe a mustard or claret colour.
