My eyes have been itchy and swollen for over a week now. Bought some antihistamine. Eye not itchy but still swollen. Feel out of it. Not sure what I’m allergic to. nothing’s changed. Another one of my older age adventures.

Good to know that at least it's not itching anymore. Maybe it's something in the air during these months?

What do you mean by you feel ''out of it'', do you mean from the illness or the medicine? In any case I hope you feel better soon.

Benadryl makes me so sleepy and dopey. Spent the weekend just in a cloud. I also bought some cortisone and that got rid of most of my puffy inflamed eyes. I’ve never had allergies in winter but I guess I can look forward to this every year now. Oh joy.

Benedryl is literally a sleeping pill. Maybe something a little lighter? Claritin, Zyrtec?

I hear Benadryl has no effect on some people. I can take about 5 in a 24 hour period and spend the entire time doped and confused. But when i stop taking it, my nose gets stuffy and I’m constantly having to blow it to clear my Sinuses.

But no other type works for me. Non drowsy anything might as well be a placebo.
