I have, not sure what full spectrum means, i tried hybrid, mix of equal thc and cbd.... it worked for sleep, not so much for pain. It would help but I dont really like the anxiety i get with it.... always did get anxious whenever i tried smoking it with an ex boyfriend years ago. I'd say try it and see, go for low dose first though i never tried more than one or 2 low dose at a time.

There are so many variables that can’t be controlled, that making a decision based on the experiences of others is a big assumption. It’s a guess that you would have a similar outcome, when that is less likely than the opposite happening.

I have heard a proverb about life being like a shop. You can take anything you want, and pay for it. Meaning that everything has consequences and you can’t cheat the system by having something without the side effects.

I am sober now and cannabis is what ultimately brought me down. So I’m not encouraging recreational use of thc at all. I’m not a prohibitionist, though. Just because I can’t handle it doesn’t mean there’s no one who can use it safely, and even if you do have a problem, I would rather see harm reduction rather than giving up entirely on recovery…

With that said, my experience has been that anxiety is a sign that you are getting more thc than your tolerance allows, i.e., a bigger dose than ideal.

Another thing I learned from my mistakes is that paranoia can be a long term that crept up on me so gradually that I didn’t know I had this side effect until I found myself making assumptions about strangers as if I could read minds. I know that sounds out there, but it’s not if that’s just your baseline.

It wasn’t like I was looking out the windows for oncoming cop cars when I was high, but when I was supposedly clear headed, I had some severe cognitive distortions going on. So that was fun when I got sober to be able to see that in hindsight. 😔

I don't think cannabis is a long term solution for insomnia any more than alcohol is. There are also a lot of health problems, especially mental health problems that go along with long term use.

CBD oil applied externally for joint pain...I think there's some evidence for that, and I'm not aware of any health problems that might go along with it.

I'm on cbd oil at the moment but without thc under my tongue twice a day and it hasn't helped with anything. Do you have any recommendations for insomnia ? Besides breathing techniques etc all those haven't worked unfortunately, I need some proper intervention to help me sleep.

I think you've tried acupuncture in the past but didn't get good results. I think the acupuncture you got was also overpriced.

It can take a few treatments, and often treatment twice a week (at least initially) to get good results for some conditions, though not everyone gets good results from acupuncture.

Chinese herbal medicine might be helpful. If you need help finding a practitioner, I can try to help.

It's probably best to get professional treatments than trying home remedies. Home remedies or self-treatments wouldn't necessarily be bad, it's just that the root cause for a condition can be different, and what works well for one person often doesn't work or can be counter productive for another.

I haven't tried Chinese herbal medicine for insomnia. That is one thing I haven't tried

I put weed pretty low on the list of things in this world that can fuck you up. That said I don't really know what's the difference between sort of medicinal and recreationally use just as a idea.

Like I'm fearful of it turning into something that happens with pain pills where people who are on heavy doses of pain medication(even if there not addicted per se) where they need more cause there pain receptors start to get more sensitive. And your then in a never ending battle of increasing dosage.

Everybody's different but I would be concerned about increasing usage and issues related to that. That's why I don't partake anymore. Also in a limited number of people statistically pot has been shown to be as addictive as other drugs.

Personally I have gotten more out of kava and trying to actually treat the symptoms of my mental health vs just trying for a dopamine dump.

However your mileage may vary.

THC is different then what it used to be, there are many strains now that target certain areas, such as pain or insomnia. Three main types are Sativa, Indica and hybrid.
Sativa is formulated to keep you awake and energized. Indica is more mellow and sleepy. Hybrid is a mix of both.
They add CBD in all types to enhance the effects.
Gummies are slightly different from flower in that it takes a while for the effects to kick in. Start with half a gummy. You probably won't feel jack shit for about 45-60 minutes. You may be tempted to eat the other half. Do not. Lol it's a common mistake and could give you a hangover headache.
If you like candy have some on hand. The gummy can be quite potent so plan on staying in bed and not walking around, dizziness is a common complaint, especially when too much is consumed. I've also seen people not feel a thing and two who laughed uncontrollably.
I do hope you can find something to help with sleep.
May I ask, did you order them online?

I'm Australia you have to get a prescription to get them. Only specialised clinics can prescribe them here

i was desperate for pain relief on my back, so it was suggested i try CBD oil under the tongue. It did NOT work. So i continued down the list of suggestions. CBD Gummies worked to take the very edge off.
Then a sales person gave me CBD with THC. i did NOT know she did this and i had the gummies as normal and had a horrible reaction to them. AKA a BAD high that we had no clue what was happening, because we all thought i only had CBD. Needless to say that sales person had done this to several people and she is no longer with that company. i could have lost my job.
Now... i am very new to all that. i thought sativa was stevia.

Anyway... sorry for the rambling there...
When at the Mayo Clinic, they turned me onto what would be better for my pain, sleep and digestive.
So i have 3 different things to help when needed. Hard candies that absorb under the tongue, gummies, and vape. They all have a CBD and THC Full Spectrum/Hybrid. The gummies have more CBD and 10%THC for pain. The hard candies for digestive and pain, and the vape for sleep and pain. So far i am happy with each. However the candies seem to work best for my extra pain. i can not utilize any of these at work and i refuse to when i know i have to drive somewhere. Only if i am home and going to be home for at least 8 hours will i use any of these.

That's all the info i know and have experienced so far. As i said.. i am new to this world, and so far, things are going well with it.

Been taking the gummies the last 2 nights. Hasn't helped me with sleep at all. Rapid heart rate , hot flushes and can't stay asleep for more than 2 to 3 hours at a time. I'm exhausted . I'm at my wits end have no idea what to do. I don't have energy to enjoy anything anymore , all I feel is my joint pain, and that's it. It's like life is finally telling me to throw in the towel
